-DIXON UNITED BOXING PROGRAM

An NCO initiative tailored for the Kingsview Village Neighbourhood

A weekly program developed, organized and run by our Neighbourhood Community Officers for Youth in the North Etobicoke community

The Dixon United Boxing Program is made possible by the generous funding provided by ProAction Cops & Kids. Our officers recognize the tremendous need to foster positive change and to develop opportunities for youth in the North Etobicoke Community. This program offers youth from traditionally underserved local neighbourhoods a fun and educational experience that they may otherwise not have the means to take part in.

The Dixon United Boxing Program is run by the Kingsview Village-Westway Neighbourhood Officers. The program runs every Sunday from 1:00pm-3:00pm in the basement gym of 330 Dixon Rd. The program is intended for youth aged 8-16 who reside in the 320, 330 and 340 Dixon Rd. buildings. They spend the afternoon with the officers learning the fundamentals of boxing, fitness, training and mentorship. All necessary equipment is provided.

The Boxing Program is made possible thanks to the efforts of local boxing instructor Kingsley Hadaway. Kingsley is a certified level 3 Olympic boxing coach as well as a youth activist.

ProAction Cops & Kids is able to provide thousands of young people with life changing programs because of the efforts and dedication of many police partners and volunteers. Each ProAction program is led by officers who go above the call of duty to run a program and dedicate their personal time to ensure that the needs of the young participants are met.
