Community Engagement: Summer Camp Edition

This summer, several schools, churches and community centers throughout North Etobicoke were eager to open their doors and host summer camp programs once again.

Our Community Response Unit office was super busy this summer with invitations for our Neighbourhood Officers to attend summer camp events throughout the Division. We received requests from local schools, churches and community centres from virtually every neighbouhood within North Etobicoke.

Our officers were more than happy to attend and engage with the youth. The officers would often speak with the youth regarding personal safety, as well as the day-to-day job of a Toronto Police Officer. The kids loved interacting with their local Neighbourhood Officers. The biggest hit (no surprise) were the ATVs!

Thank you to everyone who invited us - we hope to see you again next summer!
