Community Safety Town Hall

On Thursday January 19, our 23 Division CPLC hosted a Community Safety Town Hall. The topic of this year's Town Hall was:

Gun and Gang Violence - Addressing Youth Gun, Gang and Group Violence.

Our 23 Division CPLC worked in collaboration with the Community Response Unit to organize and host a Community Safety Town Hall on Thursday January 19th. The goal of the Town Hall was to connect organizations with similar goals and facilitate a forum for information sharing. The topic of the Town Hall centered on Gun and Gang Violence, with a particular focus on youth. Ultimately, the purpose of the Town Hall was to equip parents with the tools and information necessary to help them if they or someone they knew were experiencing issues relating to youth violence or gang activity.

The Town Hall was a great success, with several differing organizations coming together to speak with local North Etobicoke residents about youth gang intervention and safety strategies.
